Dear Koplina, why did I not discover you earlier?

My schedule has been packed to the brim lately, and so I end up sacrificing my precious sleep for it. And at times, it becomes too effortful to keep up with incorporating enough fruit and vegetables into my diet.

But with Koplina, my quality of life has improved. I’d like to believe that it’s the secret to my youthful looking skin, despite the many late nights.

This is thanks to the generous folks at Koplina who delivered beauty/health supplements to me during this timely period (thank you for the love!) This brand may not sound familiar to some of you as they are still new in the Singapore market. I did some research and found out that Koplina products are manufactured in Japan by Magnas Corporation (“Magnas”), and Magnas has been around since 1983. Now, Magnas has more than 50 kinds of health and beauty supplements being sold all over Japan and in countries such as Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore.

My mum, on the other hand, has heard of them from beauty TV programmes. She was really excited to try the products too. Basically, these daily health and beauty supplements are different from the usual pills, vitamins, masks or lotions. The beauty supplement is made of edible jelly, and the health supplement is powder which you can mix into your drinks. Sounds special?

The jelly has different purposes, such as for whitening, anti-ageing and hydration. They come in different flavours like peach and honeydew. They not only taste good, but also make you look good! But of course, you need to consume the products for an extended period (of at least a month) to see the full effects.

My top picks are the Green Aojiro Matcha and Placenta Jelly with Royal Jelly.

The Green Aojiru Matcha is a Japanese health drink which consists of young barley grass, mulberry leaves, lactobacillus and Kyoto Uji matcha, and the product offers some of the following benefits:

  • Helps to detoxify the body
  • Improves metabolism
  • Improves skin condition
  • Defies the effects of ageing
  • Lowers blood sugar

Yes, there are that many health benefits in one drink! I really like its authentic and full-bodied matcha taste too.

On the other hand, the Placenta Jelly with Royal Jelly (pictured below) is specially formulated with collagen, placenta and royal jelly, the product helps to whiten the skin and boost skin elasticity and suppleness. It’s peach flavoured and really delicious too!

Personally, I like to start my day with a cup of Green Aojiro Matcha. Sometimes, I even take up to the recommended serving of two sachets (one in the afternoon). I usually mix it with plain water, but you can also mix it into your yogurt or milk. I would consume the jelly on an empty stomach too. And on some long days, I would bring it out as the sachets are conveniently designed for on-the-go consumption.

To purchase them, you can head to the various retail locations island-wide, including Robinsons, John Little, Nishino Pharmacy (here for the full list).

You can purchase them separately, or as a bundle, which lasts for a month. For this $198.00 bundle, you can get a Koplina Green Aojiru Matcha and any combination of 6 Koplina Jellies of your choice (Collagen Jelly with Hyaluronic Acid, Collagen Jelly with Coenzyme Q10, or Placenta Jelly with Royal Jelly). If you wish to try them out first, you can purchase them individually too. It costs $28.00 per box of Koplina Jelly and $36.00 for 1-2 weeks supply for Green Aojiru Matcha.

On a side note, I really like this quote by Demi Moore, “I’m a big believer in that if you focus on good skincare, you really won’t need a lot of makeup.”
