[Lifestyle] Holiday gifting with Skagen

Hello December, I’ve been waiting for you.

The first weekend of the final month of 2016 saw me back at one of my favourite cafes in town. Time check: 2:35 p.m. It is little late for lunch but routines don’t quite matter on weekends.

Luck was on my side and I managed to get the window seat this time. This space with its minimal interior, soothing colour palette and natural light is a photographer’s dream. I knew this was the right place to shoot the classy Skagen timepiece and leather bag.

Time check: 2:55 p.m. The food has arrived, but the camera eats first.

Instead of the usual eggs or avocado toast, I opted for caramelised banana oat porridge. The addition of torched bananas make it a fancier version of my usual oatmeal and I really enjoyed it. The bananas lend a natural sweetness to the creamy oats, so good.

The Skagen Anita watch is sleek with its clean dial and exudes modern sophistication. I love how the rose gold complements most outfits. Get the Anita Subway Box set for an additional interchangeable brown leather strap that allows you to dress your look up or down. The watch is available on Zalora.

I’m impressed by Skagen’s consistency in delivering its minimalist Danish design values. This can be seen in their line of products from their watches to jewelry and leather goods. The Mini Mikkeline Satchel with its clean look is now my go-to bag. It is the ideal size for everyday commute. Skagen leather is now available on Zalora.

Finally tried the highly-raved about brownie with salted caramel filling and it was delicious. Ordered a cold brew to wash it all down (this place serves one of the best.)

Can’t believe we’re only two weekends away from Christmas. If you’re still searching for that perfect Christmas gift for your family and friends, Skagen is something to look out for.
